Article 18: Roof problem: when water infiltrates

It’s been a while since we last gave you any news. We had a little problem: a few leaks noted in the roof. Not really the ideal time to discover this.

Christophe had to dismantle the under-roof of the north side of the roof to investigate.

Fortunately, more fear than harm. We measured the humidity of the straw – and everything is good. No problems to report. The straw remained dry. This is an important validation, we can close the roof with peace of mind. Even with potential leaks in the roof, the straw held.

Christophe is going to replace the underroof and the rafters. For our part, we are replacing the tile slats.
